Raised in the tropical city of Hong Kong, where winter is a stranger, Barton embraced the unexpected by becoming a winter sport athlete. His determination and skill took him all the way to the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games, representing his country on the international stage. 

But Barton's ambitions didn't stop there, realizing his entrepreneurial spirit and the values sports had instilled in him – accountability, respect, and patience – he decided to pivot his career, focusing on his studies at the prestigious UBC Sauder School of Business, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Business in Real Estate.
